Coming soon to all Honda of Casper – serving drivers in the surrounding areas of Glenrock, Douglas, Riverton, Lander, and Worland – the 2017 Honda Ridgeline will be the new king in the full-sized pickup class. Its fuel economy will be second to none, and it will deliver that incredible efficiency without losing power. Moreover, its technological comforts will make you swear you were in a luxury vehicle. The 2016 Ford F-150 is a formidable competitor, with great performance and a brand name that people trust. So we chose it to compare the 2017 Ridgeline to, so that the superiority of the Ridgeline would be that much more clear.

  • Performance

  • With 19 mpg* city and 26 mpg* highway, the 2016 Ford F-150 bills itself as getting the highest gas mileage in its class. But the 2017 Ridgeline is poised to match that, offering an identical fuel economy. With its standard 2.7L EcoBoost engine hitting 325 horsepower, the available 26 mpg* highway of the 2016 F-150 is indeed uncommon – most engine and transmission combinations getting something closer to 20 mpg* highway.

The 2017 Ridgeline, however, delivers that same incredible fuel efficiency without much effort. Utilizing a 3.5L V6 engine, Honda projects that the new 2017 Ridgeline will feature comparable power and efficiency to the F-150.

  • Features

  • Although the 2017 Honda Ridgeline and the Ford F-150 are comparable in the performance department, included features are where the Honda Ridgeline really shines. With its duel-open tailgate, and its in-bed trunk, the 2017 Ridgeline offers significantly more space than the 2016 F-150. Add in versatile rear seats, and the Ridgeline delivers even more space! The back seats open up enough to fit an entire bike with plenty of room to spare. What’s more, the 2017 Ridgeline is wired from grille to tailgate, and you’ll be able to use Bluetooth technology to wirelessly stream music to speakers in the bed! The 2016 Ford F-150 offers a robust audio system, but it doesn’t have integrated speakers that let you listen to audio while you work.

  • Which Vehicle is Right for you?

  • The 2016 Ford F-150 is a fierce competitor, and it should be clear why we put these two trucks in a head-to-head. Right now, the F-150 is the best in its class, but with the upcoming release of the 2017 Honda Ridgeline, that reign seems to be coming to an end. Whatever you need – from fuel economy to competitive power, space, and the latest technology – the 2017 Ridgeline is there for you.
