2017 Honda HR-V ParkedWith its exquisite blend of striking style and nuanced performance, the 2017 Honda HR-V promises the well-rounded experience that Douglas and Glenrock drivers desire. This year’s model retains many of the features and qualities of the 2016 HR-V that drivers fell in love with, but there are also some changes, updates, and improvements. Read on to learn more about what’s new and what’s staying the same with the 2017 Honda HR-V, and then visit Honda of Casper for a test drive.

Can’t Fix What Isn’t Broken

The new Honda HR-V retains the same great 1.8L inline-4 cylinder engine from last year’s model, delivering 141 horsepower and 127 lb-ft of torque. Similarly, the 2016 model’s exterior has remained largely intact, and it features the same sleek style. This year’s model’s body is also identically sized, so it retains its 102.8-inch wheelbase and nuanced handling. The 2017 HR-V also features the same MacPherson strut front suspension and torsion-beam rear suspension — and the incredibly responsive and intuitive performance to go with those elements.

Additionally, many of the features that drivers have come to love about the Honda HR-V have been included again this year, including leather-trimmed heated seats, satellite-linked navigation, and a six-speaker premium audio system. These will make casual drives though downtown Worland relaxing and comfortable.

Refining a Winning Formula

There quite a few changes from the 2016 model, but most of them are minor in order to tweak what was already a fantastic SUV. For example, a sport mode as been added to the CVT transmission option, and the two-wheel drivetrain transmission option has been done away with. There have been some slight alterations to the exterior and interior design — for example, the shape of the headlamps have been subtly redesigned — but these changes are simple streamlining efforts.
